Training for specialists in the framework of SATELIT Erasmus+ project took place in University of Bejaia

In the framework of SATELIT Erasmus+ project activities, a theoretical training for the profit of pilot managers of technology transfer and innovation offices of Algerian Partner Institutions took place in Bejaia University from 08 to 10 Mai 2018 (Bejaia University, University of Constantine 1, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry).  The training was conducted by specialists from Italian universities: Enrico GASTALDI, Giuseppe SERRAO from University of Torino and Sara ABD ALLA from University of Genoa.  

This training for managers has an added value on innovation and technology transfer and was organized on 7 main themes: organization and management of knowledge transfer and other activities of « third mission » of university– Genoa case, tools for an efficient technology transfer, incubator 2I3T Scarl - Torino: incubator of company and management of university incubator, Business plan and Business model Canvas, technology transfer and creation of academic spin-off- experience of University of Genoa, the roadmap to create academic spin-off, models of business for academic spin-off.

The main pedagogical objectives of this training are as follows:

  • Acquisition of models, experiences and good practices to organize or consolidate structures of Universities of the South in order to valorize research;   
  • Arise awareness on problematic aspects of research valorization and management of an office for transfer of technology and a university incubator ; 
  • Acquisition of Business Plan tool / Business model Canvas in relation with the new teams of entrepreneurs;
  • To know the normative and organizational aspects aiming to support the creation of academic spin-off;
  • To know the key aspects of projects that enable the creation of academic spin-off;
  • To acquire the ability to apply a mentoring method to help aspiring entrepreneurs to conceive their business models, by considering particular aspects of academic spin-off in regard to other types of companies;  
  • To know the principal business models assumed by academic spin-off in Italy and Europe.

All these objectives are in line with the policies of Bejaia University and the Algerian Ministry of Higher education in terms of the enhancement of Algerian scientific research in order to respond to the transfer technology needs.
